May 12, 2012 Pioneer: An Interview with Scott Rigsby
Jon Gilson interviews Scott Rigsby in the lobby of the Sheraton in downtown Boston a day after the 2012 running of the Boston Marathon, which Scott finished in spite of the out-of-season 85 degree heat and some issues with his legs not fitting correctly.
October 31, 2011- The Scott Rigsby Foundation is sending Scott to Ft. Bragg in North Carolina on Tuesday, November 1st to spread the Unthinkable message to our troops. Rigsby will be speaking to hundreds of soldiers at the Special Operations Army base, followed up by a day of physical training with the Warrior Transition Unit.
October 10, 2011- Scott Rigsby crosses the finish line at the 2011 Ford Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. He completed the race in 16 hours and 22 minutes to the cheers of thousands of onlookers lined along the famed Ali'i Drive. For Rigsby, the second time was as rewarding as the first time in 2007, especially since he dedicated this race toward raising $50,000 for his foundation and Wounded Warriors. October 3, 2011 - The Scott Rigsby Foundation announced today that Scott Rigsby, the first double amputee to complete the Ford Ironman World Championship triathlon using prosthetics, and his foundation, are teaming with CA Technologies to help Wounded Warriors and their families to reintegrate into a healthy lifestyle after their service in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF). New Wounded Warrior program launched with the support of The Scott Rigsby Foundation
Camp Twin Lakes, the Scott Ribsgy Foundation and Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital launched the first Wounded Warrior Family Retreat this Fall. The weekend retreat welcomed service members, who have been injured on duty, and their immediate family members to Warm Springs' Camp Dream in Warm Springs, Georgia. The injuries that these soldiers sustained range from traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, craniofacial reconstruction and sleep disorders.
